Hi guys,

I have an issue with IPO 403..

I have set a call forward to a mobile number on the internal 510.

If I dial 510 from another phone then my mobile phone will ring - so forwarding works.

Now here is the problem.

510 is a member of a Hunt group (Main) and I have set the answer timeout to 3 seconds.
I have already set to forward internal and group calls.
Also inhibit off-switch transfer IS NOT enabled.
The hunt groups consists of two internals 510 and 500.

Both 500 and 510 are logged on in the group.

When an external call is made 500 rings, 510 doesn't ring at all and the call is not forwarded.

I have tried to change the default routing from the Main group, to directly 510 - but no luck....

So what else do i need to check to make the forwarding work?

You need the huntgroup set to rotary or sequential i.e not collective!!

You also need to ensure forward huntgroup calls is enabled.

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACA - IP Telephony

He has "I have already set to forward internal and group calls" RTFQ.....lol.

Thanks for the replies guys...

I already have Hunt Ring Mode (IPO v3.2 - v4.0 not supported on IPO 403).
So this is equal to Sequential.

At first I had it Group Ring (Collective) and i thought that was the case...

Have you tried having only 510 in the group to see if that works. Have you tried forward unconditional instead of no answer?.....I can't remeber the layout of the older software!

ACS - IP Office Implement

Sorry forgot to mention - i use Unconditional.

I didn't try having only 510 in the group, but I tried changing the default inbound route from the Group to directly 510 and it failed also.

I was gonna say try overflowing to a group then forwarding with a user but that is effectively what you have tried, I take it you had sufficiant lines remaining to make the call back out!!

ACS - IP Office Implement

Yes I have 4 PSTN lines...

One line is incoming, one of the remaining three should pickup and dial the freaking mobile number....

But no... it doesn't want to do it...

You guys think a trace would help?

What fields would be interesting for you?

I take it you have allowed trink to trunk connection!!

ACS - IP Office Implement

answer time out = 3 seconds, means the call will try the mobile dialling for only 3 seconds before trying the next extension. extend this, and also extend the hunt group no answer/overflow timers.

mobile calls take a lot longer to establish than landline.

OK I thought the timer of 3 seconds is how long to wait from extension 500 to try extension 510 and then eventually forward it to mobile.

So there is a seperate timer for the duration of going through the group members?

Will try it and get back to you!

I take it you have trunk to trunk connect ticked then! no answer time is how long it waits before following forwarding or voicemail coverage time is how long it rings each user, That's what it is in 4+ anyway

ACS - IP Office Implement

The taker is correct, at 3 secs ti will try and retarget, either the next available member or it will try and retarget to itself.

That no answer timer is what is breaking it for sure.

if you wanted the phone 500 to ring and have a chance of picking up then you would be better off leaving the main group as collective ringing, and set up the overflow group as the forwarding 1.

Set the overflow to something reasonable like 10-15 seconds, i'd love to see someone answer a call in 3 seconds!).

Actually i don't need to have Internal 500 to ring at all.

I want to have forward unconditional and when the forwarding is enabled i want it to ring on the mobile ASAP.

The actual case is that at night I want all incoming calls to be directed to a mobile.

During the day I want to have a group of 500 and 510 (it is one person that might be at one of the two locations).

So when the person leaves at night i want to forward the calls directly to mobile but on the other hand i want an easy way to enable/disable call forward.

So I created a short code **61* that enables the call forwarding and ##61# that disables it.

So the person at night before he goes, he will just punch the shortcode to forward and in the morning the shortcode to disable it.

So what settings should i have to make the unconditional forward ring the mobile asap?

set up a hunt group with circular ringing, in there add a user which is call forwarded all to mobile number, including hunt group calls. This will be a new user, say Extn101CallFwd for example. Don't bother using existing users as it will complicate things. Change or don't enable the timer for voicemail on the group, as ringing the members mobile for x seconds will still come back to the ipoffice vm.

Have this group as a fallback destination (Out of service of Night).

put a button on the phone of the users for Set Hunt Group Night Service, or use the short codes for the same feature, not call divert as above.

Press on and off as needed.

TheTaker i did like you suggested...

If I dial the HuntGroup (502) it forwards OK to mobile
If I dial the Extension (509) it forwards OK to mobile

The automatic forwarding from external line doesn't work though still :(

I don't have a voicemail system - it is disabled in the "System" - but i still get a record about Voicemail..

I'm providing some information from the monitor if anyone can understand what is going on:
