All I want to do it have my MICS 7.? non-PRI redirect to an outside number (must dial 9 first). I have seen the following:

"Just manually F4 then code and number
that should do it as long as you have allow
redirect set to Y"

I do have redirect set to Y. However my set will not accept a number that does not start with 28##.

I would like the DN to ring first and redirect before vmail.

I have also read the following links:

Thanks for your help.

Let's make it easy. Forward a ringing phone to 9xxxxxxx (pool code, then phone number) under cfna, and yes, make sure allow redirect is on.

This will forward ALL calls ringing to that set to that number.

Just a thought on this topic. In the UK, we were barred for many years with Trunk to Trunk and when the goverment lifted the restrictions, we found could only use this feature on PRI or AC15 trunks. COT lines didn't work.

Would I be correct in thinking that you had non PRI trunks on your system?.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

I have a non PRI on T1 IVAD. Will it work?

Sorry for the delay. I have still not figured this out.

Problem statement:
Configure set to dial an outside number (cell phone) before going into voice-mail.

Set: M7208 Redirect set = Y
System: MICS, not PRI, must dial 9 for outside dial tone
Line: T1 IVAD (integrated voice and data) aka VoIP

Question: What is cfna and which manual is this configuration written?

Any further suggestions are appreciated.

I am not sure how it is picking a line to call out from? Could you program Local link F71 (assuming the line supports this)before the number to forward to.

CFNA (Call Forward No Answer) is under Terminals&Sets/Capabilities. The 9 I put in there is for the outbound pool or outdial code. Yours may not be 9. Adjust as necessary.

If found the CFNA. However, I can only enter internal extensions that start with 28**. 9 is my outdial code, but I cannot enter a 9 for CFNA. I have verified the set has Allow Redirect = Y.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Then your software level may actually not be as high as you think. Outbound forwarding became available at 4.1. You may need to upgrade.

Can anyone confirm what DBrewsky wrote?
"MICS 4.1 WI 6.04 (30NdG04) does not support it. You will need WI 6.15 (30NdG15) I believe." Me installer said this system at 4.1 is compatible. He did not mention anything about WI 6.15.

curlycord asked if I had built a route: No and I cannot find the manual that tells me how.

In the Norstar 4.1 Programming Record I see the following for CFNA: Capabilities: Call Forward No Answer (DN or Route + destination + delay). So how do I build the route?

4.1 supports external call forward.

Which of the following are you asking about?:

Redirect a line to an outside number? (F84)
Call Forward a set to an outside number? (F4)
or program Call Forward No Answer in Capabilities?

I just need Call Forward No Answer (CFNA) in Capabilities.

Credit is due. I should have written:
"SOLVED with all the help and this link from curlycord:"

Thanks curlycord!
