Call Forward phantom extension to outside number?

We have a KX-TD12-32 & I would like to forward some extensions outside the office. I was looking at the book, & it looks like we can't forward floating station. Is that a phantom? So can I have a few jacks in the PBX room plug a phone in forward it & unplug the phone & have the forward stay?

Or is there a better way?

yes you can forward single line exts and xdp jacks to a co and unplug them

make sure you set class of service to allow for this
also you can intercept the ringing group to a single ext ie a spare xdp then set this on a perminate forward (71069 outside no:# )

you mast set ringig oustside lina 1:1 on that ext.
You can just forward extensio outside you must forward end it's incoming line
