CAN A NORSTAR FORWARD TO AN EXTERNAL NUMBER? IF SO WHAT ARE THE STEPS INTO PROVIDING THIS SERVICE? ITS AN OLDER SYSTEM.

I think you need at least 4.1 software (MICS or CICS. You might be able to try line redirection with the older system. Good Luck

you do need rel 4.1 or newer and you have to forward to a destination code. I useually set up a dest code like 60 to absorb 2 and use route 2, then set route 2 to use pool a and dialout 1-XNX-NNX-XXXX. Setting up a separate dest/route for each forwarding location.
