Hi guys,
I'm having trouble forwarding calls on the CS 1000. We have a Cisco CM at a remote site linked to our CS 1000 here over H323. Only IP phones are used at all sites.
Calls over the links are working. But call forwarding, is not working from calls from the remote site. The forwarded destination rings, but when the caller answers, the line is dropped.
A BCM at another remote site using H323 to link to our CS 1000, has no problems with forwarding.
We're using callpilot here, and unity at the remote end. Callers were not getting the voice mail, which is what started me checking the forwards.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Seems I have seen a patch for that - what Rls is your switch?

Are you using QSIG? If not that should correct your issue, if so, check with Cisco on your rls. level and see if there is a problem with that.

Hi,
CS 1000 Rls 405 and CCM release 6.1.2.1000. Can anyone point me to configuring QSIG on the systems? how can i know what protocol is being used now?

thanks.

it's codec issue, try to change the codec in inbound calls in the configuration of the H.323 trunk

Wow lots of opinions in here, however, I'm inclined to agree with Reusser, I believe I've run into this in the past as well and a patch solved the problem.

Hi,
My mistake, the call forward works. It's just when the call hits the voice mail that the call disconnects. When the voice mail DN is reached and the message begins playing "the person at extension..",the line gets disconnected without finishing the entire message. We have a pilot DN which plays a greeting. When this number is tried from the cisco, the greeting begins playing after which the line disconnects, same as before.
Could this be due to a codec mismatch?

Hi,
It was a codec issue. I've checked the outbound faststart setting under the H323 Gateway configurations on the Cisco UCM and set the codec to G711 u-Law 64K. It's working now.
Thanks again everyone.
