I need to be able to call into my extension from outside and activate call forwarding. I need to be able to forward to my cell phone but also be able to change the forward number to my pager or home phone, etc...
I cant figure out how to do this from outside the office. I dont want to have to call someone in the office to set call forwarding on my extension.
thanks

1. Have a remote access number set up with the only permission required being console permissions (COS feature)
2. Have a feature access code set up so that you can forward with a FAC.
3. Dial in, dial barrier code and then forward your phone to cell, pager, home etc. When you are next in the office, you should be able to turn it off.

Thanks,
rjblanch

8602 is our remote access number with console permissions (y).
How do I set up a feature access code so that I can forward with FAC? I guess I dont understand step 2 from above.

On the feature access forms it should show you the activation and deactivation codes. Also be sure that the COR is set to one the allows call forwarding.

ok.. so let me get this straight.
I have 8602 as the remote access number.
From an outside line I dial that access number.
I hear a beep and then a dial tone.
I enter the barrier code and then hear a dial tone.
From there I can dial an internal extension and that works or I can dial an outside number and it also works. I guess I dont understand how I will specify which extension's calls will be forwarded and to what number they will be forwarded.
Maybe I should restate my dilema:
I want to be able to set call forwarding on my extension from outside the office. If I am on a business trip and I need all the calls to my extension transfered or forwarded to my cell phone then how would I enable that from where I am.
Sorry for my confusion...

When you have console permission, you can call forward anyone's extension from dial tone within the switch. Dial the Call Forward Activaition FAC, then dial the extension that you want to forward, then dial the number you want it to forward to.

To deactivate, dial the Call Foward Deactivation FAC, then dial the extension that you want to deactivate.

After the barrier code and you get dialtone, then enter the call fowarding activation code, (dialtone again)the number you want to call forward,(dialtone) the number you want to call forward to, confirmation tones.

thanks guys.. that got it working!

I am just playing around and trying to get this to work as well.

I have a DID number I can assign, for example extension 5959.

What do I do with extension 5959? I dont understand how to create remote access.

Thanks,
