I am needing to set up external call forwarding on a system I recently inherited. Unfortunatley I do not know much about the system so step by step instructions would be appriciated.

currently when I try to forward once I hit 9 I get "invallid number"

Here is the info on my system:

SP: 30NdG04
Version 4.1

I have the current modules
3 MOX8A
2 MOX16
1 Norstar Plus Modular ICS
1 Call Pilot 150/mini
1 Application Module (Not connected)

Also any beginer guides and etc you could point me to would be appreciated.

put lines in pool assign destination code to pool, enable redirect

I geuss I did not stress how new to the phone admin stuff I am. although I admit shame on myself for not checking the FAQs first. I found the following guide in the FAQ but I am still not sure on a couple of things.

Build a Route
Services – Show
Ringing Service – Next to
Routing Service – Show
Routes – Show
Show Route: 001 – Show
Dialout: No Numbr – Leave alone – Next
Use: ( ) – Change to Pool you want it to use. (Pool A)
DN Type: Public

Build a Destination Code:
Routing Service – Show
Routes – Next
Dest Codes – Show
Show destcode: - Add
DstCode: (enter code) – OK
Normal: 000 – Change to route built – Show
AbsorbLength: ALL
Don’t have to worry about Night schedule etc.

Make sure the phone has Allow Redirect set to Yes and that you’ve allowed it access to the line pool you’re using.

1. Apparently I am doing something wrong because at the step
"Use: ( ) – Change to Pool you want it to use. (Pool A)"
I never see the next option.
"DN Type: Public"

2. on the Step "Normal: 000 – Change to route built – Show" I get Route Undifined (I am assuming this is because I am doing something wrong on the first step)

3. I did the allow redirect but I am not sure where to check if they can use pool A

Thanks in advance for your help

The display I get is

USE:pool A

with the option "change"

even when I change it to Pool B or whatever I still do not get anything else (I get end of list if I hit next)

I also have tried the same with route 002
and I get the same thing

Show is not a valid option (isnt highlited and dosen't do anything if pressed)

To walk you through exactly what I am doing and what I am seening
once I am at "Routes"
I press show and I get the following
-----------------
Show route:___
SCAN LIST
-----------------

I type in 001 and it goes to
-----------------
Rte001>
SCAN FIND
-----------------

I press Show
-----------------
DailOut:No numbr
CHANGE
-----------------

I press next
-----------------
Use:pool A
CHANGE
-----------------
if I press change here it scrools through Pool A through Pool O and the repeates. Heading back and next are lit up as options.

Under system programing, access codes, change line pool codes to none and external code to none. Then it will allow you to insert 9 into dst code.

Thank you for all of your help. I was able to get it set up using 9 with silvers advice. but I never was able to build a new route so instead of using 001 on the following step "Normal: 000 – Change to route built – Show" I used "000" and as far as I can tell it is working. please let me know if I need to do anything different eg if there may be unforseen issues with this configuration. that I am yet unaware of.
