Please correct me if I am wrong in my understanding of this.

If I have a number conflict between 2 MCD's and still cluster them without resolving, would the following be the case :

Clustered Call Flow:
systemA Dials 3000
System A checks its local extensions (match found and rings and doesnt get to the next stage of looking up remote directory)

This number will only work locally to this system ?

But will this cause problems when doing a full collect and full prop ?

Same answer pretty much.

Yes, it will cause problems. The system(s) with the duplicate extension(s) will refuse the remote directory entry.

This leads to a different answer to the original post. As the DN can only be either local or remote the DN cannot exist in the remote directory as well as being local. The original question is moot.

If the DN is local it cannot exist in the remote directory form.

EDIT Previous.

If the DN is local it cannot exist in the remote directory form. (except where the DN is resilient)

Sorry for my drifting off the original post, but would the cluster process complete and that record be ommitted ?

Yes, you would get errors but all other programming would complete.

It will say Synchronization failed, check event logs for details.

The duplicates will be listed as failed.
