I have a customer with a CICS 6.1 sftwr.
When calls come in display shows up, no problem.
If main phone(21) is in use, second call will not show on display.
All other sets will show 2nd caller when in use.
I have tried different sets, (M7310, 7324 & T7316e & non e).
I've switched sets internally, but still no luck on ext.21.

Caller ID has to be enabled for each line that rings at a given set. Make sure it is the case:

Terminals & Sets > [21] > Telco Features > Feature Assignment > [Line] > Caller ID Set

It is.
Like I said display shows up on set when it rings and is answered.
It works on all the other sets, and will temporarily display a new call when in use.
I've tried to do a set copy from other sets to 21.
But still no temp CID when in use on this set.

When the second call starts to ring on set 21, is there anything that appears on the display?

The existing call is still displayed, but it doesn't change.

Jon

I know this looks like a dumb question, but is the set actually ringing for the second call?

If it doesn't, there would be two things to look for:
[ul]
[li]DND on Busy[/li]
[li]Forward on Busy[/li]
[/ul]

I ask because the display always shows information about ringing calls. Even if Caller ID isn't programmed properly, it at least shows "Line002 calling" for a few seconds.

If everything is fine at this point, maybe you should consider rebooting the system.

It does ring on second call.
It is not set for DND on busy.
I have rebooted the system a few times.
I've never come across anything like this before????
