We have a system of several M7208s and an M7310 in our office, and are unable to use call display on any of them. It is included as a line feature from our phone company, but the numbers don't show up on the lcds.

How can I enable call display for the entire system (or, failing that, an individual phone)?

In order to tell you how to get the Caller ID to show up in your display, we will need to know what kind of KSU (phone system) you have. Some choices are:

Modular 8X24
Modular ICS
Compact ICS

Barring that tell me how many cables are attached to the main unit. For example the MICS has three amphenol cables one on top of the other. The CICS has two amphenol cables side by side each other. The 8X24 has one amphenol cable. MRoberts

I don't know quite what I'm supposed to be looking for, but the main box (the one with "meridian" on it, as opposed to the startalk box) has two largish cables coming out of it, though they don't run directly side-by-side. That's about all I can find. Is there any other way I can identify the type of system we have?

Sorry for my ignorance, bu tI have no experience with these phone systems - I just write code :)

No sweat! You gotta open up the door of that main cabinet. Describe what you see. MRoberts

when I open it up, there's a bunch of phone jacks, with the various lines plugged into them (on the left hand side) on the right hand side is one longish connector (looks somewhat like a type-1 SCSI connector), vaguely rectangular, connected to a fat wire. That wire is the only one leaving the box (the other one must be on the way in). Assuming that's an Amphenol cable, I guess we've got an 8x24 system.

Nope, what you have is a 6X16. What we call an old flatpack. ;-)
Unfortunately you do not have the capability to show Caller ID information with this cabinet alone. You will need to purchase a CII module (Caller Id Interface) for your untit it will be the C6 CII module.
If you want to, tell me what your fax number is and I can send you over the installation guide to putting the CII module in. MRoberts
