Call Display 6x16 1

Our office has a 6x16 with CII C6 call display module, but I don't know if it is installed properly. I have been working here for 8 months, and the whole setup (KSU 6x16) seemed to be screwy from the beginning. We called 2 different installers to fix it, but neither could get the caller id working properly. I know that AA has to be set up for 2 rings, but we don't see caller display on any phones yet, even if we use the F811. Does anyone have any ideas, or any pointers on how to properly install the C6?

We can't find the manual, but hopefully will have one soon. Any help in the meantime is appreciated.

Is Telco sending you caller ID info over the phone lines

thats the 1st thing to check make sure telco is sending it to you 2nd make sure that the c6 is connected to a working digital port...

Yes, we do subscribe to and pay for caller id. I also believe that is connected to one of the ports. There are 3 incoming lines, 2 for voicemail and 1 for caller id. All 6 are used. Any ideas?

Simple to install:
Loop the lines from the Telco to the C6 modules 25 pair cable starting at the beginning which is Blue/White White/Blue.
Hook up the Terminal on the C6 Module where the 25 pair connector is....thinks its orange in color, connect that to the KSU.

Programming is done in Admin option 9.

You could get a tech to install a Power Fail jack from line 1 then get a house hold call id phone and see if it works.
If it does not the Telco is at fault and not sending the signal.
If you had a test set you could hear the data transmission being sent between the first and 2 call.

Also not sure if a Flash Mini passes call ID, what vmail you have?

FZorgot to ask the obivious....what version 6X16?
You need DR5, anything lower wont do.

Thanks for the help curlycord. We have DR5 DS and our voicemail is Startalk v.2.0.1. I think I better get a tech to have a look as per your instructions...it makes sounds complicated to me, and I don't want to screw things up. But a tech should understand what you said (I hope!) Thanks again.

Guys he said he gets the call display when he does F811 so C6 is working. He need to program the voicemail ext. to be the automatic call display set for this to work.
