Hi all,

A Principal and Vice-Principal would like to see when external calls are ringing the Reception. They do not want their phones to ring, but want to see the light flashing and be able to answer if neccessary.

I figured a Call Coverage appearance button monitoring Reception would do the trick. It doesn't. Works great for internal calls but external calls to a hunt group that Reception is a part of does not light up the CCA button at the Principals desk.

Can anyone suggest a method to "cover" the Reception desk without ringing and with a visual indication?

Use a Group button. If the group has queuing then it also gives extra indicating when calls are queued and can be used to answer calls if required.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
 
Give the principal and vice-principal a group button for that incoming group. It will flash on incoming and if pressed allow them to answer a call going to that group.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
