I have a vector set up. When you call the vdn and you press the number for your choice the call never goes to cover. Voice mail never answers.

You can call the ext. direct and it will go to cover.

What is wrong?

Does the statement in the vector look like this:
route-to number 12345 with cov y if unconditionally

Hope this helps

1a2 to ip I seen it all

This is how it is written.

route-to number 5631 with cov y if digit = 3

Hunt after coverage is yes on the cover path.

How is the call getting to the vector? usally when you have this sympton there is a case of double coverage

There are 2 cover paths.

Coverpath 1 goes to the vector.

Coverpath 2 goes to the after hours answering service.

Coverage is changed with an access code.

if coverqage path 1 goes to this vector,, that is why it will not cover again,,, double-coverage..

You can "trick" it out by routing it to a DID that goes to that vector,, that would look like a new call to the PBX..

By the way, the double coverage restriction is lifted as of CM 5.1 when involving VDNs. On the coverage path form, there is a new setting called "Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party?" Setting it to Y allows the 2nd coverage to work when it is a VDN. However, you cannot have a triple coverage.
