I removed two ext 102 and 118 from calling group 772. I added ext 118 to calling group 771. I also deleted vm boxes from both extensions. When customers call into AA and option 6(call group 771) ext 118 doesn't ring. I am also unable to dial either extension directly from AA. I am able to dial other extension from group 771 directly from AA. What piece or pieces am I missing? Customer has a Merlin Magix 7.1x and Merlin Messaging not sure on the version.

you need a mailbox or a transfer only in the voicemail to be able to transfer to the extensions.
The merlin Messaging won't let you transfer to anything it doesn't know.

I made a mailbox for x118 and that works on the transfer. However the extension still doesn't ring when the group is called. Any ideas???

is the group linear? are there other extensions still in the group? Is it a auto logout group?
can you post a printout of the group? and maybe the extension?

I added ext 118 to call group 771. No other changes were made to call group 771. There are other ext in this call group that work fine. As far as a linear or auto logout I will have to check.

you might need to program a button to log into the group, just have a peek at the other sets and if they happen to have a ES2 button then program one on the 118 too.
but looking at the group will give you a hint.

I checked the other sets for an ES2 button and they have one and so does ext 118. The hunt group type is group ring.

did you log in with the ES2 button?

Thanks for all you help. I set up a test run with a magix in our office and was able to ring through each time to two extension. I requested that the customer turn off and then turn on the log-in for ext.118. That solved the problem. So, simple yet so hard....
