I use the call by call reports for a variety of reasons. Basically I have an ODBC link set up to the tables and use MS Access to work on them. However, in a single day, the same Call ID can be used for a number of different calls which makes things very awkward. How do I go about changing the configuration so that an individual call ID is used only once on the same day?

I am fairly sure that is a PBX setting but its more of a number range than being able to limit the occurances. Sorry that I don't remember where but if you are using ACCESS why don't you just set a auto unique ID field to the table and then you wouldn't have any need to worry about unique field duplicates.

You'd run into the problem eventually even if it wasn't daily when you sorted reports for more than one day, or a week, ect.

Just make sure you include a time/date field near it when you sort/view them.

Thanks. The problem is that the tables are read only so I can'd add another field in.

No but you can create some queries that pull all the data to a new table and then do it.

The parameter is on the PBX and is a system wide setting. Before changing this I would suggest speaking to you vendor and get them to look into your call trends as it could have serious implications.
