Call Back

Hey guys quick question.

Is it possible to set extensions so that if an internal call is made and the recieving extension is busy a ring back can be set so when the other extension is free both phones will ring?

I have an Option 11c and Analogue extensions.

The one which when the other extension hangs up both extensions then ring. Not sure if this is call ring back or call again?

Cool, How do you enable this on an analogue enxtension and what does the user have to do to use the facility?

You would have to use a FFC (flexible feature code) LD 57.

rgaa code in 57...

get a busy, flash then the rgaa code and hang up, when the far end hangs up you get a short ring, pick up the handset and the call is palced..

note rga only works after a busy signal so most of us don't use it due to mail and fna/hta

So am I right in saying that there should be a rga in the setup of the phone to show that this facility is enabled?

RGA is there......it doesn't get used that often because if there is voicemail or any other hunting going on, there is not a way to activate the feature.

Some people put RGA keys on all phones for whatever reason, even though it doesn't get used. If you program a 3900 series phone, Ring Again is there automatically, unless you null the key when you build the phoneset. For an analog set, the only way to be sure is to see if the FFC is built in LD 57.

Hey guys,

I have just tried calling an extension and got the busy tone so I pressed #31 and the busy tone carried on. When I hanged up and the other extension was free neither extension rang.

Personally I could not get it to work with flexible feature codes. But it did work with the default of 1.

First change the 500 set by adding xra to the class of service...

Then find out what your SPRE code is. if you don't know go to LD 21 and print your Feature block.

Look for the SPRE

To use ring again: Dial a number. If the number is busy, use flash key or simply hit the hook switch quickly. Then dial your SPRE code followed by 1 and hang up. when the call on the other phone is finished your phone will ring. Pick up your phone and the other phone will ring. Complete.
