Call appr goes on hold status 2

Have a switch in India that when you select the 1st call appearance and then select the 2nd or 3rd appearance the 1st appearance will be put on hold.(they do not press the hold or transfer button)
Do not what this to happen , want it to go available. I have looked and do not seem to find an option that you would select to have it work this way.

Any suggestion on what I should check. Phones are 6408D+

In the "ch sys fea" or change system-parameters features form See below, see if "auto hold" is set to yes.

It is possible that the system has the Auto Hold feature turned on. This causes an active appearance to be placed on hold when a new appearance is selected. To determine if this is the cause of your problem, you will need to look at the system features by entering the [red]DISPLAY SYSTEM-PARAMETERS FEATURES[/red] command in GEDI or a terminal session. Navigate through the tabs until you locate the field "Auto Hold?". If this is set to "y", then that is the cause of your problem.

Before changing it, however, you might want to determine if other users are making use of this feature for setting up conference calls.
