I need to call all extensions on the KX-TEA 308 and KX-TEA824, how can i do this? It is like calling all extentions or groups, but I cannot find it on the manuals.
When you say "I need to call all extensions on the KX-TEA 308 and KX-TEA824, how can i do this?"
The word "Call" can be understood in different ways.
Do you want to Ring or Page all phones at the same time?
You cannot Ring all phones at the same time as a Group (via the Intercom) since this is not a feature of the system.
I know it sounds wrong but that is the way it is.
Only an incoming call on an outside line can ring all phones at the same time.
Some techs will "Loop" an unused extension into an unused CO Line Port to overcome the systems limitation.
Thanks for helping me. my client is asking this because he had 2 different PBXs before I installed to him this 308, and on the older one he use to press 88 from any phone and all other extensions starts to ring all together,on the second PBX he used to press 40 and again all extensions start to ring all together. So now he is asking me how to do the same on this system, and I realy did not ever did it.
I was going to ask you if this is not possible on this Panasonic system, how about I do the rotation feature? When he call the first extension if no reply, after 5 rings it will elapse to the second extension and continue till someone answer. If this works do you know how to set it?
The problem is with these Panasonic system, that in my 15 years of installing them I have NEVER had support from one or other Panasonic distributor or from the mother company, you cannot e-mail the company or if you can to the German site they reply that they cannot give support.
How can you manufacture and supply all these expensive equipment without giving support by phone or an e-mail?????? I found Panasonic a very strange company with a very good material. I use to purchase a lot of other equipment from Spain, UK , Italy, and China, they assist for any problem I asked, but with the Panasonic only from Forums I get the answer from GOOD HEARTS like you and these people who replied here to my question. I thank you all, and I do my best to support other people from my knowledge.
Panasonic gives support through it's dealer Network. You are supposed to get support from your local dealer.
You can not get support direct from Panasonic.
I have installed several Panasonic phone systems just like you, many years ago i trained my self through extensive reading and bought Panasonic phone systems for practice. Now i support several clients from UK, USA, Caribean, Africa and Asia for a fee.
I am proud that i have nearly EVERY MANUAL and training materials of a Panasonic phone system as well as the softwares
I have even done what Panasonic claims can not be done with their phone systems.
E.g what you were asking for above can be achieved if you had the two systems interconnected.
Connected SIP Trunks to Panasonic Analog systems, Connected SIP Trunks to KX-TDE series PBX without the need for a License etc.
I have being installing Panasonic systems for the last 20 years and I talk with the dealer and they escalate problems to Panasonic (UK in my case) this then is escalate to Japan through their regional office if needed. If they cant resolve it with you, they will go to site with you.
There are work-rounds to get it to work like the extension to co loop as said by Billxx.
I have not installed a tea, or tes in the last 6-7 years because of their limitations. they are a domestic unit and that is why the programming tool and manuals are shipped with them.
As an installer you should look at the NS700 or NS 500 depending or your region. the pricing is not that much apart and they will do anything you need to do. The NS is the replacement platform for the NCP and I have not come across a config that I could not get working.
It sounds like you need to change dealers and get trained / certified on the NS/NCP.
Like Otoni said, with the correct system and experience you can get anything to work.
Thanks again for replying, both of you are saying the truth, I changed the dealers, but the amazing thing was that when I asked for something regarding programming ( as one should expect when purchasing something) they will reply that 'we are very sorry but we are only distributors and we do not give technical support' So as Otoni said all the know how is obtained trough time and by lot of effort studding manuals.
I have changed dealers and countries of purchase, all with the same results. DO YOU POINT ONE GOOD???
To test this call ringing on all extensions I will try the loop as Billxx said.
Anyone know how to programme a button on the feature phone(KX7730), so that will be ready for the call forwarding from C0 to C0?
I need this so that in night mode when a call is coming on C01 it will pickup C06 and call a particular phone number, I know that I can do it from the call forwarding, but I cannot find it as a preset button in the night mode, or as a pre-programmed button.
The only way using night option, is to change ring in night mode to dil and point to an extension that has forward to co set other wise you will have to do night button and one touch key with string programmed in it.
the line has to be set to dil to the extension is being forward too.
also you will need cpc signal or reverse polarity on the lines to do co to co or your lines will not clear down
I was thinking of puting a Voip unit ( Cisco SPA112 ) with the PBX and another unit on the remote site, then the call forwarding will be as an internal call, what do you think?
What were you connecting this to. to setup a voip between 2 analogue systems you would need a spa 3102 with fxo and fxs ports
a extension in to fxo and then coming out on the fxs port to co port of analogue extension phone
to use the spa112 you would need a sip extension on the system which the tea/tes does not have
