We just installed a 412 with 3.0 (44)
Is there call accounting as is, or is there an additional program needed?
The boss would like to see what calls are made from what extension. He expects a reasonable amount of personal use, but not crazy about someone talking to Aunt Gertie in FL for 2 hours on his time.
I know.... our "salesman" should have covered all this, but that's another story!

We use tri-sys tapi call accounting. Its not cheap though. If i remember correctly, its around $3,000.00

Try starting with a PC running IP Office Delta server. Its SMDR component produces the .csv logs files that are then interpreted by third-party call logger programs. At the most basic the individual daily CSV files can be opened in Excel. Depends how much detail the boss wants or whether is just a overall summary.

The best, most flexible and cheapest software I have tried is Call Accounting Mate. This thing has an embedded SQLite database (unlimited record), has a built-in web server for web reporting and a cool job scheduler for automated email reporting.

We use PBX Call Tarifficator from
Although they don't state on their website that there is a version for IP office, there is:

They're really great people, we originally purchased the software for our old SDX system, which we sent them an example of the SMDR input, and they wrote a custom interface for it (at no extra charge).

When we upgraded to IP Office, they again at no extra charge took the SMDR output from the Delta server, changed the code to allow it to be popuplated from a command line (we used to run a batch file a 5 minutes to midnight to populate it); and then when Delta Server when IP, they changed there software yet again to take this input.

All in all, we've never paid a penny more than the initial $280 USD.

Great bit of software, and does everything we ask of it, and if it doesn't, they add it for us!

The basic software (Call Accounting Mate and PBX Tariff Trafficator) are good options. I lean towards mate because of their support. I have tried and liked both. If you want something far more robust with carrier comparisons, traffic analysis, grade of service reporting, multi-tier corporate levels then you need to go to someone like RSI (
