Hi all..

Palm 505, synchs fine with Outlook 2000 calendar using pocket mirror (Chapura) but not with Contacts?

I've re-installed the software, tried desktop overwriting palm, nothing works..

I can't find another instance of that on this board, anyone have any ideas? my CFO is getting a bit frustrated...

thanks,

Laura

Well, it's a bit late, but if you are still trying to solve this -- check to make sure that the Chapura settings are set to sync "private" contacts. Your CFO's contacts may all have been set to be "private."

Laura,

Someone I work with had a problem that sounds like yours.

If you use Pocket Mirror, there are two places where you might look.

1. click on the HotSynch icon in the system tray. You will get a menu. Select "Custom..." and you will get a dialog box. Make sure your settings are correct here. Then close the dialog box and try a Hotsynch. If it works, GREAT. From the sound of it, I doubt it will.

2.
- Go to the "Start" menu. Click "Start" - "Programs" - "PocketMirror" and then select "PocketMirror Settings".
- You should get the "Conduit Manager" dialog box.
- Highlight your user ID and click the "Settings" button.
- You should get the "Change Synchronization Preferences" dialog box.
- Select an item that is not synchronizing and click the "Change" button.
- You should get another dialog box with one of more tabs.
- Check all of the settings on all of the tabs and make sure they are set the way you want the system to operate.

- Repeat these steps for all items which you need to change (you might want to explore ALL the items just to see what you can change).
- When finished, click "OK" until you get back to the "Conduit Manager" dialog box and then click "Close"
- Try HotSynching again.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thank you, both of you for your replies. I've been meaning to post a reply.

I tried all of the above to no avail, turned out the problem was with the specifc contact records, maybe they were corrupt, not sure but I suggested she delete them, then re-enter them (there were only a couple). That did the trick.

So still at a loss as to why, but too swamped with other stuff to dig any further... bottom line is it works fine now!
