I have my BB getting calendar updates, but i'm having some problems with the syncing part of it. If i delete an appointment on the BB, it does not delete out of outlook. I can update appointments and successfully delete them off my BB if i delete out of outlook, its just from BB to outlook not working. I have turned on the option to delete from BB and desktop in the message section, but I do not see anything like that in the calendar section.

Kevin, we need some more information to help you. Are you using Exchange and a Blackberry server? If not, how do you connect? Is calendar synching working for other people at your location? Do you have wireless synch working for email? What do you have selected in Desktop Manager, Intellisynch, Configure PIM for the Calendar?

exchange 2000 SP3 with BES.

We are just starting to use the blackberry so I cannot tell if its working for others. the few other BB's we have are also at remote locations, so I'm stuck with the one I can test with.

I have not set anything in intellisynch. in config PIM I have only email and calender set. email is set to microsoft exchange and the calender is set to wireless sync.

OK, first off there is an updated cdo.dll that's required on your Exchange server for calendar synch to work. It's available from Microsoft. Details are on somewhere. I have the info at work if you can't find it.

Second, when you set this up, somewhere around the second synch through the cable, it would have said it wanted to delete all appointments. You need to reply yes. If you said no, try changing it in PIM to Outlook Calendar, resynch, then back to Blackberry Wireless Calendar and resynch.

Third, have your BES engineer check how the account appears on the server - are both wireless email synch and wireless calendar synch enabled. The server just reflects what's been done at the desktop and handheld - no settings needed on the server.

I hope that helps!

A very simple trick which has worked 5 out of 5 tries for me is a little something I picked up in this forum, I believe, when faced with the same "one-way" calendar sync.

Either manually reboot/reset the handheld in question, or turn it off and then back on again.
