Calculating time in a query

Does anyone know how to total time if the field type is short time.


Also is it possible to divide time field by a normal value to get items per minute for example?

I total short time values in some apps by storing the seconds in the database, and on all reports whatever showing a calculation of total time based on total number of seconds. A little to precise at times, but easy to keep track of.
