Hi

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to work out the full width at half maximum in Excel? I know that you can work out the standard deviation, but I have a non-Gaussian distribution.

Thank you

Caitlin

Hi, Caitlin!

Unless someone else knows for sure, I don't think there is an easy way to do this. Could you not halve the peak from the base and then take difference in half values on the x axis? Since it's a non-Gaussian distribution you may have to average out the values.

I am probably not much help, but at least it's a start.
