Is it possible to extract reports that show which interface on the gateway a call went out on? Our existing call logger doesn't know which tariff to apply as the raw data doesn't indicate which interface was used.
 
So to understand what you are trying to do:
You want the ability to bill back a call depending on the interface it went out on and not the type of call (local, long distance or intl?)

What type of gateway is it you are connecting to by the way?
 
Yes thats right. We have a H323 GW. The reason for wanting to do this is because our GW could pass a call to the BT interface or Kingston interface depending on how busy each are and when our CILE extracts the CDR database from CCM it doesn't know which interface and hence doesn't know what tariff to apply. How do you charge users? Do you have a different GW for each supplier?
 
does your call accounting system capable of recognizing the gateway that the call is coming from and adjust the tariff then?

So what I am asking is if you were able to somehow insert an entry into your call accounting system that shows that the call was made out of Kingston vs the BT interface, would it be able to recognize that entry and adjust the tariff accordingly?

 
Yes. We have several tariffs in our Call Logger and we can apply according to entry but the CCM doesn't pass on the GW interface used as it doesn't know (only the actual GW knows what was used). I've checked the raw data and it doesn't pass the interface to CCM. Do we need different software,specifically for CCM perhaps? Any ideas?
 
The CDR database has a record of which gateway the call was made. It is cryptic but it is there.

If your call accounting software is compatible with call manager then it should be able to identify the originating gateway. What is the call accounting sw called and is it compatible with ccm?
