I liked running cable and prided myself on what I did and how neat and organized my work was along with my additional knowledge for integrating network and telephone devices when needed. But had to get out and move on when I too, realized there was a low ceiling.

I agree totally, its because you are seen as a non skilled person, and all you do is pull cable.
