I am looking at posts to see what Backup Sw we want to use. I have little experince with it and am currently using Yosemite b/c it came free with our HP DAT drives. I am not impressed with the Yosemite Tapeware b/c of unresoled issues.

Question: I don't see much discussion of CA's ArcServe. I saw only 1 post that said stay away from CA. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

What about other solutions? A lot of posts seem to favor Veritas.

Thanks,
Steve D

If you are a small shop, I would recommend using BakBone's NetVault product. or Veritas. Stay as far away from CA as you possibly can. The support will not return calls, the database breaks every month, etc...

Comtec,

I haven't talked to Bakbone. I called Veritas and they have some really competitive pricing for dumping the Tapeware that we currently have (Tapeware stinks). In your opinion which do you prefer. Veritas or Bakbone?

Steve

check out CommVault Galaxy.....same functionality as Veritas but, not so much cost :)

I recommend BakBone NetVault. I've had very good experiences with it as far as ease of installation, configuration, use, and most importantly...restores.
