Using CA Arcserve r12.0 SP1 with Windows 2000 server. I get an error message that C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CATROOT is not being backed up due to a sharing violation. This directory is not selected in my backup job; however I am backing up system state. The only way I can get rid of this error message is to exclude system state from my backup job. Any help on how to solve this issue is appreciated.

System state backup is managed by the client agent for windows, and it use (by default) port 6050tcp and udp. Maybe some problems with this ports ?
You can also try to stop and restart the agent.
Is the agent at the same release level of the master server ?
