C3550-XL-EN in Maintenance Interim Software mode? 1

Have a cisco 2550 XL EN in Maintenance Interim Software. Has anyone ever seen this, and how do I get out of it? Should I just load a new OS in?

Version 12.0(5.2)XU, MAINTENANCE INTERIM SOFTWARE ???

I assume you have a Catalyst 3500XL (either a WS-C3524-XL, WS-C3512-XL, WS-C3548-XL or WS-C3524-PWR-XL) and NOT a Catalyst 3550. These switches are pretty old now (End of Sale July 2002 & End of Support July 2007) and only have 12.0x IOS available. I have checked and the most current IOS release is 12.0(7)WC17 which was released very recently (February 23 2007).

I would suggest replacing these as soon as possible if you are intending using them in any production environment.
