I have read many post about the C110 and have successfully avoided it until now. Is it a dependable, quality product? Or is it advisable to stay with Pro and a PC. Any opinions on this topic will be appreciated.
Given the choice, I'd take an external server over a UC module any day. If Microsoft licensing costs are a concern, the Linux applications image for VM Pro/One-X works well.
Knock on wood, the first run of ucm's was a nightmare. The second was much of the same. And now the 3rd seems like they are ok. But that's the track record on them. Linux installation image works well for VM Pro and One-X.
mkoker, do you have a date code for this 3rd batch. So far the ones I've used have been hit and miss....more misses though. I've been moving more towards the server side because of that like everyone else.
I want to thank everyone for the responses. For now I will stay with the PC / Server. If for no other reason than the sensitivity to power issue. Living in Florida power outages are far to common and UPS systems only last so long.
I had problems with Windows too sometime. The VMPro service shutdown with no reason! I think the Linux version is very reliable. I installed two UC110 and the first blown because power outage; the second is working smooth and without problems.
