c to java converter

Hi there!
I am looking for a c to java converter. I briefly tried C2J, but it's creating the java code which is kind of ctoj app oriented/specific, which means I need to complie my code only with it.
I am more looking into a general converter which creates java files that can be compiled using javac.

Can anybody who already have experience are know anything intresting about these tools pass on me few tips/suggestions.

I'm working on such a project, but C++ to Java, and I was wondering, what features would you find the most influenial in your selection of a translator? Just curious, it's for school though.
