Bzzt!! after each spoken word and small pauze

Remeber those old days that after each time you let go of the mic, you got a Bzzt (crackling) sound in the speaker?

I have an ipo 500 with this nostalgia item

After each "stop" of sound it makes a BZZT!, like radio static.

So like in 1 breath ; "avaya is a good product" BZZZTTT
Or in several breaths ; "avaya"BZZZT "is" BZZZTT"a" BZZZT "good" BZZZT "Product"

The combo ; Ipo500 version 5.0 (8) in combination with 1603 all ip ,and the other side differs, from ipo soe to 500 v 6.0 all give these problems locally at the 5.0 site...

I wanna geus that it is somewehre in the vcm , so heres the specs;

echo return 6db
non-linear;aangepast(adjusted)
vermindering nlp ;-9db
plafond nlp ;-30db

modem (?)
Tx -9db
cd -43db
timeout 30 secs

anyone had this before , and solved it ??

First i would upgrade to 5.0.22 and upgrade the phones too.
So this is only on the SCN network ?
Does it also happen on incoming call from a PSTN network >

Sounds like compression artifacts, being higlighted by the poor 1603s

try a G711 codec

It happnes with ip lines, the bzzzt is heard on both sides of the phone.

ive made the line h323/h450 and it is no scn...

What "line"is it ?
Is it a vpn or any other type of line ?

Mmm

ALAW G711 works better from one end of the line, but still gives a BZZZTT at the location of the ipo...

ULAW G711 works fine ! , no complaints anymore yeahhh!

What phones do you use ?
If ip and direct media path turned on then there is no vcm usd so it could be a bad vcm card.

Ip direct media path is turned off everywhere, the complexity of our system and network makes it difficult for some phones to connect via this way (somehow)

its only ip, so i think and hope its nog the vcm.

(It works, dont touch it, and runaway)
