When backing an NTFS volume (2003 server) that has a total capacity of 780 GB and about 700 gig of that is used the byte count that backup exec gives me on tape is 820 gig.

Now seeing as I have to reformat this volume due to some corrupt NTFS indexes and then restore from tape will I run out of space on the volume before the restore has finished??

Backup exec 10d rev 5484.

Thanks

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

Never mind, it's my maths that's causing me the problem. A byte count of 819542170415 is of course 763 gig and not 820.
