I have a Partner ACS R6.0 with a small voice messaging card. I don't want Auto Attendant to answer ever, I just want the VM at extension 10 to cover all incoming calls. How do I shut off the auto attendant?

Remove all CO lines from Group Call Dist. - Grp 7 (Sys prog #206) and add all CO lines to Line coverage ext (sys prog #208)

Don't remove lines from #206, You need to change #206 from 1=assigned to 3=vms line cover for each line so it will follow what you have programmed in #208 for each line.

You DON"T set the lines to VMS Line Cover when using Call Coverage in #208, but rather set them to 2-Not Assigned - especially since the PC card mail does not have an option for Line Ownership.

What's the difference between VMS Line Ownership and Call Coverage? It has to do with the DND button on the covering extension.

If the line appears and rings on multiple extensions, VMS Line Ownership allows the covering extension to use DND, and the line will still ring at the other extensions until it covers to the mailbox.

If you are using Call Coverage instead, and the covering extension uses DND, the call will go to the mailbox immediately.

So, now I am more confused. I am going to try to set it up again later, but it seems I have three different solutions here. Help!

#206-7-(ine number)-2
#208-(line number)-(10)
#310-10-1

Make sure that each line is assigned and rings at Ext. 10

That's interesting TTT, I have always programmed #206 as option 3 in this scenerio (even with pc mail) and never had an issue.

Won't cause an issue, but isn't necessary. It controls what sends the call, and what determines the number of rings before covering.

With Line Ownership, and a voicemail that has line ownership settings within it, the VMS Hunt Delay controls the rings.

With Call Coverage, the Auto VMS Coverage Rings controls it.

And then there are the DND interactions as well.
