I have an BVP error at a remote site, I can't get there until next week. The Tie link keeps going down after erroring See below. I know I need to sort the fault out, but in the meantime I am dialling in every hour to reset the counters to stop the link going into maint or nnc.

Is there any way to automatically do this on the OPT11 or what counters in LD73 do I need to change to stop the link from going down?

AND I THINK WITH THE LATEST SOFTWARE YOU CAN BUMP THEM OUT FURTHER. THEN GIVE IT TO TELCO

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

bpv is most common to cable between the demark and the db15, not always. if your using procomm a script can dial the loc once an hour and clear the lcnt, you'll have to have the logi, but the script would be very simple. let me know if your runnuing procomm and i'll post a script if you want. bumping the trsh will help, so let me know.. users will notice noise problems if it gets to bad

Thanks John I know I can procomm it but if I can stop the counters failing by "upping" them in the short term I dont have to tie my pc up.

PerryPJ if I goto change these in 73 I get this

??????? If I do not have these values set should I create them?

i don't believe your switch is running without a ddb, that's unreal. when you add a card, i didn't think you could get past

Code:
DLOP NUM DCH FRM TMDI LCMT YALM [COLOR=red]TRSH[/color]
   TRK 093 24 ESF NO B8S FDL [COLOR=red] 00[/color]

without a ddb, your clocks must be in freerun. you may have just found your bipolor's

None of our other 12 option 11's have this datafilled either?

No problems with them?

what does ssck 0 show in ld 60? i would take the time to at least track the clocks off of either the tie lines or else the ld carrier. clocks cause slips more often the any other problem. i know a lot of params are prebuilt in the 11. in a larger switch you can enter trsh 0, without doing the def in load 73, i usually adjust mine up a little, but i don't max them out unless i am like you and trying to doctor a sick "T" btw, you mentioned not wanting to tie your pc up to run a script all day. i have dual com ports and a int modem, so i can direct connect to 2 switchs and still dial into one, or (usually) dial into two, with an a-b that adds an external modem and stay connected to my local.. having both windows open helps me do the old stare and compare..

unless nrotel sets loop one to a default for clocking, something is strange.. here's my ddb from ld 73

i don't know of anywhere else you can tell the switch the track off of one, the way yours is

You have PRI2 then
ld 73
req new
type pri2
feat lpti, syti or pad

I see much slip then you need check the source clock.

An Option 11 always tracks off of slot 1 TMDI. You can spec ant of the others as SREF but PREF has to be slot 1. I beat my head against the wall for two weeks before I actually read the book and found this out.

But if the T1 is marginal you will have issues regardless, if you are clocking from it.

correct on clocking off of a dirty, can cause other t's to slip. i would set a sref and switch to it, i thought the 11 must do an auto track with a blank ddb, didn't know you couldn't switch it

Can you post the status for PRI in slot 1.
If you link 1 had problem then all links in your system have slip.

Javier

Thnks for all the help,

Turned oout to be a co-ax cable from the switch to the microwave, intermittantly reading 6.0 ohms. This is now being replaced.

for some reason, bi-polar seems to be between the smart jack and the switch. your cable was a little diff then us mere mortals
