We are in the market to buy some new switches. I need 48 ports and VLAN capability for a rather simple stand-alone LAN. Right now I'm looking at 3Com, HP and Cisco. I have great experiences with Cisco but they are kinda pricey and would prefer something a little less expensive. I'd like to get some real-world reviews from the 3Com and HP user base. What are some of your experiences?

thanks!

I second the 4400 recommendation...we just replaced a bunch of old 3300 and 3900 with 4400 and they are much nicer to work with (& only cost like 500USD...)
