Button rollover using movie clip 1

I gathered from a couple tutorials that in order to create a button that'll be animated onMouseOver, you simply create a movie clip with the animation and insert it in the over frame of the button. Only problem is when I drag the movie clip into the over frame screen, I get a message that you cannot place a symbol inside a symbol or something like that. So how do you get the movie clip into the over frame?

I don't know what the problem is because it works just fine for me. Maybe follow a couple of tutorials a little closer and make sure everything is working right.

Make sure you are not inside the movie clip u want to add. That should work fine for ya.

You are dragging a symbol into itself. You must make a separate animation if that is what you want and save it as a movie clip symbol.

Then drag that separeate mc into the over frame of your button. Ya' Gotta Love It!
