I have a button within a Flash file. When the mouse is over the button, it brightens. When pressed, it darkens. When left alone, it is off white. ...three different graphics. Here's my problem. When I click the button, I want the default graphic (the off white graphic)to change to a purple graphic. So, for the rest of the time the user is in the Flash file, if they roll over the button, it still brightens; if they press it, it darkens; and if they leave it alone, it is purple.

How do I do this? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ok this is really simple you take your main pic turn it into a Button then right click ether on the name in the library or on the actual picture then click edit it should have 4 different frams at the top one for none, over, done, and area or something just put in the apporperate pics in those 3 frams then go back to the top layer so you can edit the actual movie right click the button click preferences and click Action tab and you wont something like this

On (Press)
      Go to and Play (1)
End On

or

On (Press)
      Get URL
"<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> window="_blank")
End On

if you do go here just so you know I'm making it better

Azmaramza
59238403
t__whitehead@hotmail.com

this is a little difficult. you want a movie clip with one off white frame in the beginning, one bright frame, one dark frame, and one purple frame. and, the movie clip should have a stop command in all the frames. then, have an invisible button in front of that, with tell target commands telling it to go to different frames in the movie clip. (if you need to know how to use the tell target command, check my posted tip -Tell Target Command-.)
Dan Crowley
crow1126@bolt.com
<a href= in Verse
This is my poetry. It's good stuff!

Thanks all for your help. I went with Crow1126's solution. So far, so good.
