Butt set Tester Help

I work at multiple sites and am working with out a butt set. We have Analog and digital lines throughout the network. I want to get a tester but I am not sure what to get? I work alone so I am tired of toning out in serveral buildings then having to go back to pull the toner off to make sure I am good all the way thru. Besides it is extremely irrating lugging this 70's heavy red "Batman" phone around to make sure I have dial tone on fax lines. With this I need the tester to be able to plug into the phone jacks, not just the alagator clips. Also it would help my argument when ordering to have one to test out digital lines as well.

I don't know of any digital testers out on the market. I think the digital signal is different from each manufacture (Avaya, Nortel etc). I recommend getting a Banjo Adapter for you headset. This will allow you to plug in to RJ11/45 jacks and test with your butt set.

I use a Harris TS22 with the angled bed of nails clips works great for connecting to 66 blocks. I also modded my butset (and my toner) with some silver statin and one of these

This way can can connect directly to 110 blocks.

I use a Harris TS17 Deluxe. It has an RJ11 female connector in the butt set that allows you to plug in a standard line cord or use the included "bed of nails" clip set that has an RJ11 connector on the other end of the cables. Not much larger than a cell phone. WORKS GREAT!

Hello Direct used to sell a unit called Linestein that could learn the protocol on any digital line and allow you to connect an analog unit. You could check there.
