Is there a way to find out if all trunks or certain particular Trunks are busy in a PBX at any given time?

LD 80 Trace the ACOD of the route. Its been a while but i think the command is TRAC 0 7001. 7001 being the routes ACOD. This number can be obtained by printing the Route in LD 16.

 
I like the TRAC method. If you are creative, you can write a script that runs it every few minutes. It gives you a great snapshot. you just run it when you think you are at your busiest period.

Another accepted method is Traffic:

Short answer: Define customer Traffic option #2 (TFC002) One of the output fields is "All Trunks Busy"

Long answer: Setting up traffic is a long answer. But if you do not have anything reading traffic today, I'm happy to walk you through it here in post. All the commands are in LD 2. I suggest running it one time per day before you drill down into hourly data overload.

To start, I'd want to see results from these commands posted here - they are just inquiry commands

Hello

I appreciate both of your answer but it is not working or I am lost. My issue is that we are unsure which Trunks are busy.

This is becoming a big issue for one of our sites and I am able to pull a basic report from OTM and my PE core units but it is not really telling me what I need to know.

Could you send me a basic script to enter to find my routes and then to find my busy routes. This really would help allot.

When I enter LD 2, then enter topc 0 it comes back with TFC200 three times.

If I was to use LD 16 I need to know what Route is in question and that is still an issue?

If you are looking to check T-1/PRI circuits, go to LD 60 and enter STAT at the prompt, this will print out everything programmed showing what is active and what is not. This will not show analog lines into your system. If you need to see analog status, you need to know what cards are supporting the lines, then you can go to LD 20 and stat them. The format depends on what type of PBX you are using.
These are just quick snapshots of what is going on with minimal detail, but may be what you are looking for.
