Hi Tek-Tips Forum,

we have a problem with on a customers site.
The caller doesn't hear a busy tone when the called ext is speaking. The call just gets disconnected. We are routing the calls through the Voicemail Pro.
procedure:

incoming call routing
-88886209 -> target: VM:209

Voiemail Pro Module 209
start -> Test User Variable 1 -> play .wav file
0 -> transfer to ext. 209

User variable is 0.

When we route the call directly to the ext the caller is hearing the normal busy tone.

IPOffice 8.0.18

Any ideas?

Thanks!

User variables have a true or false. What your testing there is a little vague. What exactly are you trying to test?

Well, 1 is true, 0 is false. The user can change that value. The user wants to setup different announcements which are played with different .wav files.

use an assisted transfer and have an announcement after the busy / NA action, saying "That Extn is busy" and transfers it back into the AA.

Also try to use names rather than numbers for your AA....

If VM Pro transfers a call to a busy station the call will disconnect, that is common operation.

You could do turn it around, first to the extension and when busy go to VM, equals user var = 0.
When the user turns DND on then all calls go straight to VM, this equals a user var of 1. In the leave action put your wav file.

Problem solved.
