Is it possible for a set to send back a busy tone to a calling party (Internal) before CallPilot kicks in? Reason I'm asking is because the customers wants to use ring back when free as well as CallPilot on all Sets. I am at a loss, as I can only get it to give one or the other but not a combination of both.

Regards and Thanks in advance

Chris

If you are talking about using Ring-Again then it will work on no-answer as well as busy.
If you are calling an ext that has FNA to CallPilot then you can activate Ring Again after one ring cycle.
The system will buzz your ring-again key after the destination phone has gone off-hook and then back to on-hook.

Sure, then people can use Ring Again internally too.

Set CLS CFTA HTA FNA
Set HUNT to = your own DN
Set FDN to voice mail
Set EFD to voice mail
Set EHT to voice mail

Now internal callers will get busy if you are talking, but external (and transferred external) will get voice mail if you are talking.

As StanleySteamer said but you can Only use one or the other, not both.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Oh stanley, that RGA during ringing needs something though (like to serve coffee), since it needs to see the far end set in use, then hung up. The called party could be sitting in the office for hours not making calls and the calling party will just wait.

I agree Gene, yours is the best answer to Chris's question. In fact that's exactly what I often do. The only problem of course is if the caller would rather leave a message than use ring again. They would have to know to use express messaging.

Thanks guys, I didn't think you could have both, as I did check the NTPs before asking the question. Customer not happy as he does have this facility on his old Siemens system.
