Hello;

I have one extension that is getting a busy signal when you call it. It is a digital phone (4406). Looking at the set up in Manager I do not see anything obvious that is wrong. Needless to say the user is not on the phone when you dial the extension.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you got DND on? Or a call forward to a busy/non-existent destination?
Can the user call out ie is it actually working?

Do Not Distrub is the most common culprit. Could be no call appearance buttons are programmed, the extension under the user doesn't match anything under the extensions tree, it could be forwarded to something inaccessable, and if all else fails reboot the system. You could even delete and recreate the user.

I have seen users do some pretty bizarre things to 44xx phones when they go into the menu options.

It is hard to say without more information.

Thanks for the response. Looks like it was forwarding to a line that was inaccessable. Remove that and line is back up.

Thanks.
