Hi,

We have a remote site(G700 media gateway) connected to Hub site(s8720). We have a trunk-group in which we have 3 ds1 boards.

We need to replace one of 3 DS1 board at remote site.

My plan is to run these command at Hub site,

busy out board xxxxx(the board number to be replaced)
replace the ds1 board and
release board xxxxx

is that right approach or do i have to busy out trunk-group itself?

do i need to busy out at both hub and remote site?

You will be fine just busying the board. However if you want to busy the trunk to be extra cautious you can use:
busyout trunk [group/member]

busyout trunk 3/31
busyout trunk 3/32
busyout trunk 3/33
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
busyout trunk 3/59
busyout trunk 3/60

if you have further trouble when card is replaced, telnet into the g700 and do reset mm v?

If you just do busyout board you will drop calls in progress if there are any, use campon-busyout trunk, this will busy out the channels as they become free so you don't drop calls.

Sod's law says it will be the MD you cut off during a call id calls are dropped!

status trunk then busy the board, busying/camping each trunk member/port will take forever
