In the process of setting up some hotdesk users, I enable an extension for hotdesking, and I noticed that that busy-lamp extension now flashed whether the user was logged in or not. Thinking this was weird I removed that extension from hotdesk, but the flashing continues. I completely deactivated that extension's hot desk ability but the light keeps flashing. I saw a similar post about this here and I was wondering if anyone had any new ideas or a solution to the flashing busy-lamp extension.

Is this a clustered site?

If so make sure the feature DN length matches the length of your extension numbers.

The "Christmas tree" as the flashing key's were called are history. Version 5 you can change to 2 colour buttons. Not all type of phones. The information to show any state of a phone on DSS/BLF is depending on correct set-up of the remote BLF feature. please check your configuration.

If the DSS/BLF key for the DN is flashing, this could indicate an active call forward on the DN. Do a Locate Feature Extension <DN> and see what is there.
