Hi all, I'm on IPO 9.05 and simply trying to get a "busy" greeting to play when a user is on the phone. GREETING 1 is active for internal and external calls. Greeting 2 is active for "number engaged" calls. Yet if on the the phone, only greeting 1 plays. Is it because of rollovers ? I'm on appearance A when another call comes in on appearance B. I'm expecting that call to get greeting 2 when unanswered. Is that not possible? Thanks in advance !

Hello all i need to do the same.
i'm on an embedded voicemail.
thank you in advance for further replies

Try this as a workaround:

- User 444, fwd on busy to 555
- Make a personal HG 555, 1st announcement, make user 444 a member.
- Record "busy msg" on 1st announcement for HG 555

Now the call(ers) will stack up in a queue, and you can even do some treatment to them if the waiting time gets horribly long.
- Overflow to receptionist (they will see where it came from)
- Have a second announcement (
- Send to HG voicemail (make the User member of the HG voicemail in the Source Number)
- If you have VMPro, you can send directly to the user mailbox, or do some other tricks.

All numbers above are just examples.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Hi Gunnar and thanks for your reply. I do have voicemail pro. I like your idea above but the user doesn't want to queue the call or route to receptionist. He's an exec and his scenario is this: He likes the ability to answer multiple calls on his a b c keys but sometimes he wants to let a caller go into voicemail if he's on another call and would like for them to hear a greeting that says "he's on another call, I'll call right back" instead of just hearing his regular greeting.
Callers currenrly only get that greeting if all a b c keys are in use. Is it possible in pro to get the system to recognize an appearance button is in use in order to give greeting 2 ? Thanks in advance.

If you route all calls to the exec to a VMPro module, no problem. (But transfers and internal calls won't hit that VM module)..

Kind regards

Gunnar
