I want a busy signal to the second caller of a MSN number.
The incoming route is to a huntgroup with only one member. I used a huntgroup because it’s easy to program an out-of-service button on the 6408 to forward to an answering machine.
The user wants only one call and the second to be busy because it’s an heavely used line and they don’t spent their days putting people onto hold. Another advantage is have the second line free for other MSN numbers of that sameISDN2

create the group as usual
turn of Queing & Voicemail

Also make sure that "Call waiting" is turned off in the hunt group (it is by default).

Thank you both for the response, I did both suggestions but I still received 2 calls.
I reduced the call appearance buttons to one, but then I couldn't transfer calls anymore.

I will use the monitor to trace what happens if a second call on the same MSN comes in.

How do you have it set, as "group"? If so, try changing it to linar or circular and try that.

I've set it ( or better left it) to group. I can't see the difference because there is only one member in the huntgroup)

You're right about "group/circular" not mattering. I setup on my demo system a test group. The group name is "test" ext "272" it has one member of 203 in it. Allocated answer/Overflow are empty, call waiting is unchecked.

The voicemail tab, everything is clear. Same with Fallback and Queuing. When 203 is on a call, and I dial the huntgroup ext, it rings busy. When 203 is idle, a call comes through.

So my suggestion would be to try this. Have the user get onto a call, then attempt to call the hunt group ext and see if it rings busy or rings through.

Also what release of software are you using?

Thank you for taking the time to setup your system.

Thi IPO 403 is running 3.0 (40) and is heavely use by four doctor company and a pharmacy company each with their own trunk lines so there is not much time for me to do testing in this situation.
As soon as possible I'll check what happens on the system
