Hi

I have developed a business view and a few cascading prompts for our users to report off. However I have some problems when trying to create paraters using the business view.

When create a parameter (static or dynamic) using the business view it wont populate the value field drop down.

The only time I can get parameters to work is when i use the few parameters Ive set us as cascading prompts.

Is setting up cascading prompts and list of values the only way to set up parameters that will give the user the ability to select from a lookup rather than relying on accurate typing !!

When using the dictionary in previous versions you were able to create a parameter using the fields in the dictionary on the fly.

Any help would be appreciated

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm having a similiar problem.

No unfortunately not. I even got our suppliers onto this who are BO valued added sellers but still no response. Will let you know if we get anywhere.

I dont understand why they have decided to make the infrastucture side of BO XI so hard to install and administer.

What version of CRXI/BOXI are you using? You might need to apply a SP to both.

Thanks so much!

Satin may be correct here, I just resolved some problems for folks last week by having them apply the service pack.

Please remmeber to post your software version with any post regarding any software product.

And whenever you encounter a problem such as this, make sure that you're up to surrent on the SPs.
