I am trying to set up a Data Foundation based on a stored procedure in Business View Manager. I click File, New, Data Foundation, select the Data Connection, select the Stored Procedure, then click Add button. I wait about 15 minutes the Business View Manager goes into a not responding state. Should I wait longer?

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks,
DA

Meant to add I am able to add other SPs. Maybe it is something in this particular stored proc?

Hi,
Perhaps..If the SP does not meet the criteria that is needed for use (it should return a record set - if Oracle, for instance, it must return a REFCURSOR)

Compare those that work with the one that failed and se whjat the differences are in construction and variable use ( IN, OUT, IN OUT )

Thank you Turkbear! Saying I'm a newbie at SP would be an understatement :)

I will take a look and report back.

Thank you,
DA

Didn't see differences. I tried to add it again but waited longer this time. After an hour or so, it adds the SP.

I tried to run the report in CR and after an hour, Task Manager shows "Not Responding". I'm just gonna let it run to see what happens. Will report back.

The report took 1-2 hours to run. Will post again if we get the issue resolved.

Thanks!
