Business Policy Switch dropping ports

I have a BPS 2000 that is frequently dropping random ports. The port will stop communicating completely. If I move the device to another port it is ok. The only way to get the port to come back up is to power cycle the whole stack.

Any ideas?

is it the spawning tree who's dropping the port?
