I am converting version 8.5 reports to XI All reports are fine and run in enterprise except for reports that are mapped to Microsoft Access. Once the report is converted and the datasource is updated, I published the report to enterprise XI. The report fails and gives me an error. "Database Connector Error" I configured my Job Servers to use the windows account rather than the local system account. Still doesn't work. I then installed Crystal reports the same server that the enterprise system is installed and tried to run the report and the report runs. It just does not run on enterprise.

Any ideas?

I have the same setup as my 8.5 enterprise.

Hi,
Not just the Job Servers need to have permission to access the Access location..

Set up the Page and cache servers to use that account as well..

I have all the services using the same account. Any other ideas

Hi,
What database driver is being used?
Are you specifying a .mdb location using UNC ( //servername/etc.)

ALl of the reports are using UNC. The reports are going off of Microsoft Access 97 .mdb.

CE do not have permission to access the network MS Access database.

You have to go to CCM and change the local\admin
to your your real administrator.

Just to prove this, copy the MS Access database to your CE server and run the report using Crystal Enterprise (CE)

The server has network priviliges. The report runs in the designer and the desinger is installed on the same machine as enterprise. I configured all of the servers on enterprise to use the windows account rather that the localsystem account.

Still the report does not run when published into enterprise.

Go to Crystal Configuration manager and
view the properties for Crystal Cache server then check the user:?

Yes, admin account do not have access to the network.

You can change Crystal Cache, Page server to your user ID. same userID you used to run the report locally or
give permission to admin account

Just to prove this, copy the MS Access database to your CE server and run the report using Crystal Enterprise (CE). it should work

good luck

That is what I meant. I used the same userid and password that I used to run the report locally. Still does not work.

Are using ODBC Access DSN then UNC ( //servername/**.mdb)?
